Stressed Out

What's new? Ha ha!

I'm not sure I ever really remember our lives not being stressful, but that is not to say that our lives aren't wonderful.

We love this crazy missionary life of struggling to hear God's voice and then struggling again to follow through with what we believe we have heard. We are endlessly thankful for the group of friends who surround us with their love and support and counsel and bolster our strength and cheer us up and on!

Today I am stressed because I have to report down town LA again to complete the jury selection process for a case in criminal justice. I desperately hope to be dismissed from jury duty as this is a crazy-hectic time for Wild Hope. We are working somewhat out of our gift zone in preparing a website and getting many other things in place for the great switch-over when we officially move from Christian Associates to Wild Hope International. Of course we are also desperately hoping that our faithful donor base will be delighted to make the switch with us.

The trial is projected to take another 9 or 10 working days, which lands us on the 6th of November. Byron and I fly out early on the 9th for ten days in Tanzania with Peter and Tammy. We are excited to go do some team building and dreaming together, as well as having time to seek the Lord together. We have a massive amount of work to do before departure, and we also have Trevor needing to finish some college applications by next week. I would like to be available to help him with that and to be more present for Colin and Heather during this time right before we are away. My parents (whom we live with while in the U.S.) are in Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei at the moment and won't return till the night of the 8th.

So I am praying that the powers that be will decide they don't want me on their jury. Please join me in that prayer!

But if I am selected, please pray grace and peace and efficiency... and maybe a brilliant IT person who would love to get the site up. It's not that complicated since we are going for the pre-set template thing through Mac but, oh dear, even these "easy" options are a little overwhelming.

We have other gifts :-) Maybe the Lord would like to grant a special loan to us of the ones we need for right now!
